Born and raised in the United States, I teach at Sciences Po Grenoble in France.
During the course of my artistic career, I have completed a variety of projects which I call documentary fotofictions. These works are generally focused on a geographical area and associated themes, which can be historical, political, social, cultural, environmental, economic, etc. Most of my projects take several years to complete. This approach allows me to refine my vision over time through research, a meticulous and extensive editing process and the happy discoveries one makes when 'on assignment' and during the editorial process.
